Before you send hate mail, keep in mind I'm a Mopar fan and love almost every single model and will always favor the styling and power of the mighty Mopar. My car has definetly been influenced by his work "don't worry" the paint job while not a Mopar color will be of a Mopar theme, the bumpers fit much better now than they did, the body gaps are much tighter than they where and engine compartment has been dramatically cleaned up from stock. As far as Detroit getting them right the first time "are you serious?" Yeah they got the body styles right but donut tires, less then ideal body gaps, shotty interior in lots of models, ill fitting bumpers and sloppy wiring to name a few are all things that could have been better which are the type of things he cleans up when building a car. Fooses show 'Overhaulin' has too much about the goofy prank and not enough about the overhaul IMO. AFCs Quadraft Spray Booth allows us to create the most beautiful paint jobs possible and I can rest easy knowing that. I think the final product looks very nice as far as paint quality though. I agree however that I would never put rally stripes on a Mopar but the car is bad as hell. What surprised me is the amount of body filler Boyds shop uses, Id be worried about what the paint job would look like in 2-5 years. It'd be fun to try and guess what Foose would do with a Celica.Chip Foose is the man, I love his taste in cars and like most of what I've seen him do. Five star rims seem to go well with our cars. Mike Lavallee was know for his trademark, literally trademarked, TRUE FIRE airbrush technique for. Those wheels on the Civic wouldn't look too bad on a Celica either. (WKRG) A legendary artist in the auto industry has died. He custom molded out of sheet metal the rear lip wing and reworked the rear bumper on that Civic so I think the Celica would be an interesting canvas for him. I'd love to see what Foose would do with a Celica's body lines and how he'd paint it as well. I wonder if boomslang could wire up a harness to make a Matrix ECU run the Celica and then use the TRD Supercharger and piggyback to make it smog legal.
Chip Foose (born October 13, 1963) is an American automobile designer, artist, 1 and star of Velocity 's reality television series Overhaulin'. Automobile designer, television presenter.
If they dealt with a Celica, I think they would need someone in the know to guide the build to make an awesome car. Octo(age 58) Santa Barbara, California, United States. I've seen them throw a motor on an engine dyno and prep it before installing it and maybe they might have to do that again if they decide to tackle another import. Jay Leno knew that Dave loved the original two-tone paint job, so Chip Foose made certain the showroom-floor look was maintained when the rust was removed. Import cars may be a bit harder since it requires tuning time unlike the carburetor motors they usually deal with in their time constraints. Hence they scratched the boost part of the build. Click to expand.Obviously not easy enough since they couldn't get the turbo kit installed in time for the deadline.
